National Center for Robotics and Automation, Condition Monitoring Systems (NCRA-CMS) Team from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro visted Karachi Urban Transportation Corporation (KUTC) for discussing possible colloboration for karachi circular railway poject.

MUET NCRA-CMS team lead by Meritorious Professor Dr. B. S Chowdhry, Dr. Tanweer Hussain and Dr. Faisal Karim Shaikh was breifed by Managing Director, Amir Muhammad Daudpota about feasiblity analysis conducted for Karachi Circular Railway Project. Mr. Daudpota shared that 0.47 million passengers will be using the service from the day it launches and the project will be launched through Public Private partnership. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Kashif Yousfani, DS Pakistan Railways Karachi, and the officials of AI Engineering.

NCRA-CMS Team suggested about various aspects of routine inspection and maintenance schemes, operations, signaling systems to align the project with industry 4.0 standards and to provide a swift, eco-friendly, reliable, and safe, public transport system to the citizens of the megacity Karachi.

In meeting, both KUTC and MUET discussed the ways of future collaboration, possible opportunties for technical assistance in development projects, and building the capacity of both organizations and individuals.

The DS Pakistan Railways Karachi and Managing Director KUTC also assured full support for current projects being carried out at NCRA CMS.
