On April 22nd, in honor of International IEEE PES DAY, the IEEE Power and Energy Society of MUET Student Chapter presented their first seminar of the year 2022 on “ROLE OF WIND ENERGY FOR POWERING A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE.” Thanks to the executive body of IEEE PES’s tireless efforts and enthusiasm, we were able to reach up to 100 attendees.
The Seminar would not have been as informative for everyone if it hadn’t been for our brilliant Guest Speaker Engr. Assadullah Qureshi who is the Head of Plant at FFC Energy Limited. He not only lectured us about the need of renewable energy, but he also contributed significantly to the success of the event. Our Chief Guest, Dr. Bhawani Shankar, underlined the need of engineers to focus on renewable energy research, particularly Solar and Wind energy. He was an excellent motivator as well as an eye-opener for the audience.
On IEEE PES DAY, Dr. Aamir Mehmood Soomro, Dr. Mahesh Kumar and Dr. Abi Waqas Memon also highlighted the importance of sustainable energy for sustainable future.
Lastly, Dr. Asif Ali Shah acknowledged our Guest Speaker, Chief Guest and Keynote Speakers for making IEEE PES DAY a huge success.
