Out of 12000 students from 135 universities in Pakistan who took the nationwide test, two teams of total six students qualified for the Middle East Regional Finals from Pakistan.

Pakistan Team 1, comprising Team Lead Faeez and Asad Anwar Arain from Department of Telecommunication, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro and Maryam Fareed from Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) under the guidance of Team Instructor Faheem Yar Khan Khuhawar secured the second position in the Middle East contest.

Pakistan Team 2 having students Umar Raza from FAST-nu, Fatima Shafique from MUET, and Eman Yaqoob from LCWU received Outstanding Performance award.

Pakistani students Fatima Shafique from MUET, Maryam Fareed and Eman Yaqoob from LCWU also received Huawei ICT Competition 2022 Middle East – Women in Tech Award.

To mention, around 19000+ students had joined the competition from 11 countries representing 472 Universities and colleges in Middle East, Pakistan and Kazakhstan.

This is fourth consecutive year, Pakistan Team has shown its consistency in receiving awards in Huawei ICT Competition. Winning Teams are selected to participate in Huawei ICT Competition – Global Final.
